Notes on what I’m working on, thinking about and learning.
Work, reference and things in progress.
Projects I worked on in January:
Album artwork for the upcoming album from Calgary/Mohkinstsis singer/songwriter Jolene Marie 🎵
The visuals are inspired by folk music albums from the late 60s/early 70s. The design features a prominent hand-lettered album title, and I’ve loved disappearing into rabbit holes of art nouveau, classic scripts and flourishes.
The re-design of my studio website (including many spinning GIFs) 🖥️
My books are open for 2026 (!) and I’ve been putting energy into refreshing my studio brand, portfolio and general presence to better showcase my work and communicate what I do. Still working on finishing touches, but you can view and explore the site here.
BTW you can support my practice by: Passing my name on to your distinguished social circle, sharing any of my work that resonates with you on socials, or sending me a message if you have a project in mind.
I received the physical copy of the new Ev. G album 💿
I LOVED this whole project - our design path included retracing engravings from the 17th century and many tedious (but enjoyable) hours spent creating a surrealistic and intricate scene based on symbolism and themes found in the lyrics of the album. If you haven’t listened to this project yet, I’m unabashedly a mega fan and encourage you to do so asap (in headphones for best experience).
Coming Up:
The Not Your Type exhibition viewing has been extended until March! Pop in to High Line Brewing in Inglewood to view the pieces in the space, or check it out online if you can’t make it in-person. I’ve added some pieces and there’s still original work for purchase.
The Not Your Type dad caps were such a hit, we’ve produced another run 😃 If you missed out on snagging one in the first run, you’re in luck. Grab your cap here.
Thanks for spending a moment with my work.
More soon,
Jen ➰

That Ev. G vinyl cover is just soooo stunning Jen - you nailed it! Stoked to catch up on your projects with this. ☺️
